Parametric analysis of assembled beam-column joints with top and bottom L-shaped members
A new type of assembled beam-column joint is proposed,in which the frame beam is connected to the frame column by means of a top-bottom L-shaped member to achieve fully bolted assembly construc-tion.In this paper, based on the experimental study, the ABAQUS finite element analysis software is used to carry out an extended parametric analysis of this new type of assembled joint to study the effect of the joint design parameters on the force performance of the assembled beam-column joint with top-bottom L-shaped member.First, the finite element analysis model of the specimen was established to verify the accu-racy of the finite element analysis process. Then the form of the L-shaped member of the joint, the thick-ness of the vertical plate of the L-shaped member, the thickness of the horizontal plate of the L-shaped member, and the length of the horizontal plate of the L-shaped member were considered. The results of the study are intended to provide engineering suggestions for the design and optimization of assembled beam-column joints with top and bottom L-shaped members.
