Research on Seal Failure of a Boiler Gate Valve Gate Plate
In the actual use process, the wedge-shaped double gate valve used in a boiler has serious wear on the sealing surface of the gate and the flanging of the guide rail groove on the valve body and the guide rail on the gate, which will cause serious damage to the sealing surface and the overall structure of the valve and affect the service life.In this paper, the gap size of the guide rail is calculated and analyzed based on the dimension chain theory, and the extrusion stress is calculated and checked.Based on the thermo solid coupling simulation analysis method, the stress and displacement nephogram are obtained. The results show that:because the gap size of the guide rail is too large, under the high pressure condition, when the ram is lifted, the two sealing bodies can not be separated as soon as possible, resulting in wear. The unreasonable structure size of the guide rail makes the extrusion stress on the guide rail not meet the requirements. In the long-term use process, the guide rail groove of the valve body yields and is crushed, which causes the ram to tilt and squeeze the sealing surface, resulting in further wear and damage.According to the research results, the structure size of the guide rail on the ram is optimized to meet the stress requirements and reduce the wear degree. The research can provide some reference for the design and optimization of this kind of valve.
