Prediction of Partially Grouted Masonry's Compressive Strength Based on Block Softening Theory
Based on the fully grouted masonry's block softening theory,a modified model for partially grouted masonry is proposed.According to the similarities and differences between the fully and partially grouted masonry,it is shown that the stability of the shell affect the performance of the partially grouted masonry.By considering the shell stability, the application scope of the block softening theory can expend to the partially grouted masonry. The calculation results show that the modified model proposed in this paper can predict the compressive strength of partially grouted masonry more accurately than the calculation results of the original formula.
