Analysis of Spatial-temporal Distribution and Evolution Trend of Ecological Efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Belt
Based on the 2008-2021 provincial panel data, the super-efficiency SBM model is used to estimate the ecological efficiency of 11 provinces and cities along the Yangtze River Economic Belt,Dagum Gini coefficient and its decomposition method are used to analyze the components and sources of the spatial distribution differences of ecological efficiency, and Kernel density estimation method is used to explore the dynamic evolution trend of ecological efficiency. The results show that:in time, the overall ecological efficiency has been improved steadily, but there are obvious stages and non-equilibrium characteristics in provinces and cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the ecological efficiency of the three urban agglomerations evolves from"Lower region>Upper region>Middle region"to"Lower region>Middle region>Upper region";the difference of ecological efficiency between urban agglomerations in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is the main source of the overall difference;the overall ecological efficiency has two-level differentiation, the ecological efficiency development of cities is unbalanced and the absolute gap of ecological efficiency between regions is narrowing. Therefore, the cities along the Yangtze River should strengthen the technical innovation and environmental pollution control, take the characteristic development path according to the local conditions and the regional characteristics, and strengthen the regional specialization division and cooperation so as to improve the ecological efficiency.
