Study on the Performance of Acrylic Esterification Catalyzed by Corncob Carbon-based Solid Acids
In this paper, corncob biomass is used as raw material to prepare corncob carbon-based solid acid catalyst via carbonization-sulfonation method. The structure of catalyst is characterized and the catalytic performance for acrylate esterification is evaluated. The results show that corncob biomass material is successfully linked-SO3H group after carbonization-sulfonation,which retains original biomass precursor structure and possesses rich porous structure and also has excellent catalytic esterification performance.Under the optimal reaction conditions, the catalytic esterification of acrylic acid and methanol, the conversion of acrylic acid can reach 93.6%.Moreover,this catalyst still maintains high catalytic esterification performance after being reused three times.
