Optimization of STAR-RIS Assisted Wireless Powered Communication Network
In this paper,a wireless energy supply communication network assisted by reconfigurable intelligent surface with simultaneous transmission and reflection(STAR-RIS)is proposed,in which two sensor node groups(SNGs)utilize the wireless energy signals from the power supply station(PS)to harvest the energy and use the harvested energy to send their information to the access points(APs).STAR-RIS is deployed in the middle of two SNGs to provide assistance for wireless information transmission. The phase shift parameters and communication resource allocation of STAR-RIS are jointly optimized to maximize the system throughput.Due to the non-convexity of the optimization problem, block coordinate descent is used to solve the problem.By introducing auxiliary variables and using successive convex approximation and penalty function method, the original problem is transformed into a convex problem. The experimental results show that the proposed communication scheme can provide higher performance gain for the system.
