A Study of Factors Influencing Garbage Separation Behavior Under Regulation
Individual garbage separation behavior under government control is the micro basis of urban garbage separation effect, therefore the factors influencing garbage separation behavior variables have long drawn attention to people.according to the theory of planned behavioral, attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control can influence garbage separation behavior.A structural equation model was utilized to examine the data based on 1155 valid surveys completed by college students in Guangzhou. The findings indicate that attitude has no discernible impact on garbage separation behavior, and subjective norm, followed by perceived behavioral control, impacts most. The school's rewards and punishments have the greatest effect on the prediction of garbage separation behavior, while roommates have a stronger influence on conduct than family members.According to the empirical analysis, the following suggestions can improve garbage separation.Firstly, environmental education should be changed from cognitive education to behavioral driving and classification guidance.Secondly,a system of"rewards and penalties"and increased intensity of regulation could be implemented to promote urban garbage separation.Thirdly,to capitalize on the influence of the group on individual garbage separation behavior, waste management can be performed on a neighborhood or building basis.
