Common Mode Voltage Suppression in a Multi-motor System with a Nine-switch Inverter
A nine-switch inverter(NSI)with two output ports has the advantages in terms of reducing the number of switching devices and lowering system costs in the multi-motor control domain.By controlling the upper and lower motors separately based on the effective states of the nine switches, the NSI generates a higher common-mode voltage. This article analyzes the impact of various switch states of a NSI on the amplitude of the common-mode voltage. It proposes utilizing the 12 non-zero vectors of a two-level NSI as a novel control set for model predictive control. The suggested approach restricts the amplitude of the common-mode voltage to within±Udc/6,and its effectiveness is validated through simulation.
