Exploration on the Cultivation of Academic Postgraduate Students in Newly-added Master's Degree-granting Institutions
Academic postgraduates serve as the backbone in the drive to build innovative country in China.Taking the academic postgraduate students in Hunan Institute of Science and Technology as the research object,this paper examines the problems existing in the training mode of academic postgraduate students in newly-added master's degree-granting institutions,such as single curriculum system,lack of innovation consciousness,inefficient tutor management,incomplete assessment and incentive mechanism,and urgent need for improvement of scientific research environment.Drawing on the successful experience of postgraduate training modes in Germany,the United States,Japan and the United Kingdom,some suggestions are put forward to improve the cultivation quality of academic postgraduate students from the aspects of curriculum setting,tutor guidance,assessment and incentive,and training environment.
