Synthesis of a Novel Random Copolyether Phosphate Ester of Epoxyethane/Epoxypropane and Its Application in Coating Systems
Using methanol as the initiator,an epoxy ethane/epoxy propane random copolyether was synthesized from epoxy ethane and epoxy propane.This copolyether was then subjected to an esterification reaction with phosphorus pentoxide to synthesize an epoxy ethane/epoxy propane random copolyether phosphate ester.The structure of the product was characterized using nuclear magnetic resonance,infrared spectroscopy,and gel permeation chromatography(GPC).The synthesized epoxy ethane/epoxy propane random copolyether phosphate ester was applied to solvent-based polyurethane(PU)and nitro(NC)wood paint systems,and its application performance was studied.The results indicated that the resulting coatings exhibited excellent color development,color difference upon fingerprinting,and storage stability.
