The sound level threshold in underground dining spaces in terms of acoustic comfort
To determine the sound pressure level (SPL) threshold when the acoustic comfort is acceptable,in this study,a subjective survey and objective measurements have been undertaken in typical enclosed underground dining spaces in Harbin. The results suggest that the sound environment is a factor in influencing the overall environment comfort evaluation, because they have high correlations, but the overall environment comfort evaluation is generally low.Compared with the reverberation time, the SPL of background is more important for acoustic comfort. The subjective evaluation of acoustic comfort relates negatively with the background SPL,and when the SPL is 70-75 dB(A),acoustic comfort is acceptable.
