As an innovative expression of police documentary programs in the new era,"Guardians of Jiefangxi"is a successful try to shape and spread the image of Changsha city.This paper explores the reasons why"Guardians of Jiefangxi"won great popularity in the framework of semiotics,carries out multi-dimensional symbol construction from the humane government,bustling Changsha City,friendly citizens and interesting Changsha,and constructs technical symbols from the potential level of flowery characters,short shots and bullet screen.By analysing the internal logic of Changsha's city images,i.e.,"self-reporting"and"self-molding",this paper aims to inspire city image managers and provide new paths for the multi-dimensional presentation of city images.
