‘Hongse Lianren’ is a red cultivar bred from the red Salvia splendens which grow in a farmhouse of Sanhe City,Hebei Province.Sowed in green house in the early spring and planted in open field,the plant height is 53-70 cm and the crown is 72-90 cm.The inflorescence length is 15-32 cm and the number of inflorescence is 79-119.The distance between wheels is close space and shows 0.6-2.7 cm.The colors of its calyx and corolla are both red.It has long flowering period,from June to October and the full-blossom period lasts from August to September.It is not easy to be infected by epidemic disease or mosaic disease and also has good heat-resistance.
