Isolation and Identification of Endophytic Fungus Pa2 Antagonistic Against Apple Ring Rot Caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea
In order to isolate and screen antagonistic fungi against apple ring rot caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea, the present study isolated endophytic fungi from the branches of apple ring rot resistant cultivar by tissue isolation methods. The results showed that five antagonistic fungal strains were obtained from 40 isolated strains, among which strain Pa2,identified as Fusarium lateritium, had the best inhibitory effect on B.dothidea with 77.49%inhibition rate.Strain Pa2 supernatant treatment can not only destroy the hyphae cell membrane, but also induce pathogenesis-related gene(MdPRi)expression in apple fruit. The result showed that the control effect of strain Pa2 on apple ring rot was 63.63%at 5 dpi.
