This paper concentrates on the morphosyntactic representation, semantic foundations and division of temperature categories of temperature words in the Muyu dialect of the Qiang language.Initially, this paper categorizes Muyu Qiang temperature words based on three parameters of the conceptualization of the temperature category, providing a dialectal comparison.Subsequently,it describes the grammatical manifestations of temperature words. In Muyu Qiang, basic temperature words are aligning with Plank's(2003,2010)threefold system, represented by stu/məpə for"cold",si for"warm",and dʐidʐi for"hot".These words belong to the class of stative intransitive verbs, and the division of the temperature evaluation framework can be encoded through suppletives or the addition of directional prefixes. The grammatical representation of these words is constrained by the associated temperature evaluation framework.
