Effectiveness of PFNA Internal Fixation in Patients with Intertrochanteric Fractures of the Femur and Its Impact on Complications
Objective To investigate the effect of internal fixation of anti-rotation proximal femoral intramedullary nail(PFNA)in treating patients with intertrochanteric fracture of the femur. Methods A total of 82 patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur treated in Boai County People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected, and they were divided into 41 cases each in the control group(internal fixation with power hip screws)and the observation group(internal fixation with PFNA)by applying the method of randomised table, and the surgical situation, postoperative clinical indexes, clinical efficacy and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and incision length of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group;the intraoperative bleeding of the observation group was less than that of the control group. The observation group's time to get out of bed, fracture healing time, and weight-bearing time were shorter than that of the control group. The clinical efficacy of the observation group was higher than that of the control group. The complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion PFNA internal fixation treatment of intertrochanteric femur fracture, the effect is remarkable, can improve the gas hip joint function, promote fracture healing, the complication rate is lower, and the safety is higher.
