To Investigate the Effect of Radical Mastoidectomy and Wullstein Type Ⅲ Tympanoplasty on Hearing Threshold and Serum in Patients with Otitis Media
Objective To investigate the effect of radical mastoidectomy tympanoplasty and Wullstein type Ⅲ tympanoplasty on the average hearing threshold and the expression of serum platelet-activating factor(PAF)and hyaluronic acid(HA)in patients with otitis media. Methods A total of 104 patients with otitis media admitted to Fugou People's Hospital of Henan Province from April 2020 to May 2021 were selected and divided into the study group(n=52)and the control group(n=52)according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with Wullstein typeⅢ tympanoplasty, and the study group was treated with complete wall mastoid radical tympanoplasty. The clinical efficacy, the average hearing threshold[air conduction(AC)threshold and bone conduction(BC)threshold]before and after the operation, and the expression of serum PAF and HA were recorded. Results The effective rate of the study group(94.23%)was higher than that of the control group(80.77%).After the operation,AC was lower in the two groups than before the operation, and the study group was lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in BC between the two groups before and between the two groups(P>0.05).The expression levels of serum PAF and HA in the two groups were lower than before, and the study group was lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication rate of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the recurrence rate of the study group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of otitis media patients, radical mastoid tympanoplasty with the complete wall is superior to Wullstein type Ⅲ tympanoplasty in restoring hearing and improving treatment effect and can regulate the expression of serum PAF and HA.
