Correlation between Dietary Habits and Precocious Puberty in Obese Children
Objective To explore the correlation between eating habits and precocious puberty in obese children.Methods A total of 72 obese children with precocious puberty admitted to Wuzhong People's Hospital of Suzhou City from March 2019 to March 2022 were selected as the observation group,and 71 healthy obese children who underwent physical examination during the same period were selected as the routine group.Real-time reverse transcription fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)was used to detect the level of miR-125b in peripheral blood of the two groups,and the dietary habits of the children were analyzed.By comparing the peripheral blood miR-125b and dietary habits of the two groups of obese children,Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between peripheral blood miR-125b and dietary habits and precocious puberty in obese children.Results The expression level of miR-125b in peripheral blood of observation group was higher than that of conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of irregular diet,more meat and less vegetable,and high additives in the observation group was higher than that in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of female children and poor eating habits in the observation group was higher than that in the conventional group,and multivariate analysis showed that the expression level of miR-125b in peripheral blood,female children and poor eating habits were independent risk factors for premature puberty in obese children,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression level of miR-125b in the peripheral blood of obese children with precocious puberty is higher than that of healthy obese children,and the poor dietary habits are higher than that of healthy obese children.Both the high expression level of miR-125b in peripheral blood and the low poor dietary habits are the influencing factors of precocious puberty in obese children.
