Observation on the Effect of locking Compression Plate Surgery on Patients with Limb Fractures
Objective To analyze the effect of locking compression plate surgery on patients with limb fractures. Methods A total of 78 patients with limb fractures at Shangqiu Central Hospital were selected as the study subjects. The start and end dates of sample enrollment were May 2020 and December 2022,respectively.They were randomly divided into two groups using a single or even number drawing method(with an odd number selected for the control group and an even number selected for the study group),with 39 patients included in each group. The control group received conventional steel plate internal fixation surgery, while the study group received locking compression steel plate internal fixation surgery. The operative indexes, the excellent and good rate of postoperative functional recovery, perioperative pain score, postoperative complication rate and ability of daily living score(ADL)were compared between the two groups. Results The surgery time, hospitalization time, and fracture healing time of the study group were shorter than those of the control group, and the amount of blooding during operation was lower than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);The excellent rate of postoperative functional recovery in the study group(94.87%)was higher than that in the control group(74.36%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The postoperative limb pain scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group at 5 days,10 days,15 days, and 20 days after surgery, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The incidence of postoperative complications in the study group(5.13%)was lower than that in the control group(20.51%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in preoperative ADL scores between groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the ADL scores of both groups increased compared to before intervention, and the study group was higher than the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional steel plate internal fixation surgery, the treatment effect of locking compression steel plate internal fixation surgery for limb fractures is better, with advantages in complications, surgical trauma, and other aspects, which is worthy of application.
