Clinical Observation of Ambroxol Hydrochloride combined with Tiotropium Bromide in the Treatment of elderly chronic obstructive pulmonary Disease
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of ambroxol hydrochloride combined with tiotropium bromide in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods A total of 165 elderly COPD patients diagnosed at the Second People's Hospital of Zhenping County from August 2019 to December 2020 were selected and randomly divided into three groups using a random number table method.Among them, there were 55 cases in the ambroxol hydrochloride group(group A),the tiotropium bromide group(group B),and the combination therapy group(group C).Group A was treated with ambroxol hydrochloride, group B was treated with tiotropium bromide, and group C was treated with ambroxol hydrochloride combined with tiotropium bromide. After one week of treatment, the clinical efficacy of three groups of patients was compared, and the changes in lung function, serum and sputum inflammatory factor levels were compared before and after treatment,as well as the differences in the incidence of adverse reactions and related drugs in the trial among the three groups of patients were compared. Results The effective rate of treatment in group C was significantly higher than that in groups A and B,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of pulmonary expiratory function indicators[first second forced expiratory volume(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),and The ratio of forced expiratory volume in the first second to forced Vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)]in the three groups increased compared to before treatment, and group C was higher than group A and group B,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The levels of inflammatory factors in sputum and serum[interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]in the three groups after treatment were all decreased compared with those before treatment, and the levels of inflammatory factors in IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α in group C were lower than those in group A and B,with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of ambroxol hydrochloride and tiotropium bromide can significantly improve lung function and alleviate pulmonary inflammation in elderly COPD patients, with better therapeutic effects than medication alone.
