Clinical Effect of Self-made Qingfei Huatan Decoction Combined with Inhaled Glucocorticoid in Treating Bronchial Asthma
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of self-made Qingfei Huatan Decoction combined with inhaled glucocorticoid(ICS)in treating bronchial asthma(BA).Methods A total of 46 patients with bronchial asthma admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were randomly divided into the glucocorticoid group(23 cases)and the combination group(23 cases).The combination group was treated with Qingfei Huatan Decoction and ICS,while the ICS group was treated with ICS alone.The clinical effect,TCM syndrome scores,asthma control test(ACT)score,lung function,inflammatory factors and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total clinical response rate in the combination group was higher than that in the glucocorticoid group,and the difference was statistically significant(95.65%vs.73.91%,χ2=4.213,P=0.040).After treatment,TCM syndrome scores decreased,and ACT scores increased,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The combination group had lower TCM syndrome scores and higher ACT scores than the glucocorticoid group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).After treatment,first second forced expiratory volume(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),and The ratio of forced expiratory volume in the first second to forced Vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)and peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)increased,and were higher in the combination group than in the glucocorticoid group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-8(IL-8)decreased,and were lower in the combination group than in the glucocorticoid group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).No obvious adverse reactions were observed in either group.Conclusion Self-made Qingfei Huatan Decoction combined with ICS is effective in treating BA,which can significantly reduce TCM syndrome scores,effectively control asthma,restore lung function and reduce inflammatory response,with a low adverse reactions and safety,which is worth of clinical promotion.
