Analysis of the Value of Conventional MRI Sequences and Diffusion Weighted Imaging(DWI)in Preoperative Diagnosis of Rectal Cancer
Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of conventional MRI sequences and diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)in preoperative diagnosis of rectal cancer. Methods A total of 70 patients with rectal cancer were selected as the research subjects, all of whom were treated in our hospital from April 2021 to April 2023.They underwent single conventional MRI sequence scanning, combined scanning of conventional MRI sequence and DWI sequence before surgery, and the surgical pathology results were the gold standard. The preoperative radiological TN staging results were compared with the surgical results. Results The accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of MRI+DWI examination in T1,T3,T4 staging and No,N1,N2a,N2b staging were all higher than those of single conventional MRI sequence scanning, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Conventional MRI sequences and diffusion weighted imaging have satisfactory value in preoperative diagnosis, with high compliance rate, specificity, and sensitivity in T and N staging, and can provide reliable basis for treatment.
