Analysis of the Current Situation and Influencing Factors of Alarm Fatigue in ICU Nurses Authors
Objective To investigate the current situation of alarm fatigue of medical devices in ICU nurses and its influencing factors.Methods A total of 300 nurses from 8 ICUs such as the General ICU and Cardiac ICU of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected by purposive sampling.Self-made general information questionnaire,clinical alarm fatigue questionnaire,Chinese Big Five Personality Questionnaire Brief Version,and Nurse Humanistic Care Quality Scale were used to collect their basic information,and univariate analysis,Pearson correlation analysis,and multiple linear regression analysis were performed.Results The total score of ICU nurses'alarm fatigue survey was(24.85±4.82)points.Multiple regression analysis showed that the department and neurotic personality traits were important influencing factors of ICU nurses'alarm fatigue,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The alarm fatigue of medical devices in ICU nurses is at a moderate level.Personality traits and humanistic care quality have a significant impact on alarm fatigue.Nursing managers can adjust manpower according to the personality traits of different nurses;provide a positive and supportive clinical learning environment for department nurses,take relevant effective measures,improve the humanistic care quality of the nurse group,promote the shaping of their humanistic care quality,and provide better nursing services for ICU patients.
