Effect of Respiratory Function Training Combined with Nursing Intervention on Quality of Life and Pulmonary Function of Elderly Patients with Chronic Obstructive Emphysema
Objective To discuss the clinical effects of respiratory function training and nursing interventions on the life quality and pulmonary function for elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema. Methods A tolal of 92 elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema treated from June 2020 to September 2022 in General Hospital of Hebi Coal Industry(Group)Co.,Ltd.were selected.According to random number table, patients were divided into two groups, with 46 cases in each group. The routine care was performed in the control group;the observation group added additional respiratory function training and nursing intervention, and compared the pulmonary function[forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1),forced Vital capacity(FVC),The ratio of forced expiratory volume in the first second to forced Vital capacity(FEV1/FVC),peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)]and quality of life of patients in the two groups. Results After intervention, the values of FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC and PEF in 2 groups were increased, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of quality of life(social function, physiological function, physiological function, physical pain, mental health, emotional function, vitality and overall health)of patients in both groups were improved, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The respiratory function training and nursing interventions can improve the pulmonary function and life quality for elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema. It is worthy of clinical application.
