Observation of the Effect of Nutritional Sequential Nursing Intervention Applied to Elderly Patients with Severe Pneumonia Authors
Objective To explore the clinical application effect of nutritional sequential nursing intervention in elderly patients with severe pneumonia,in order to provide reference for future clinical practice. Methods From January 2021 to December 2022,72 elderly patients with severe pneumonia admitted to Luohe Central Hospital were selected.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, each with 36 cases. The control group carried out routine fractional quantitative nasal feeding care, and the observation group received nutritional sequential nursing based on this. The immune function(monitoring immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG),immunoglobulin M(IgM)before and after intervention),nutritional indicators(monitoring serum albumin, prealbumin and hemoglobin before and after intervention),mechanical ventilation time, intensive care unit(ICU)hospitalization time and complication risk(statistics of gastric retention, diarrhea, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, liver function injury and abdominal distension)were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the immune function indicators of both groups of patients improved, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the nutritional indicators of both groups of patients improved, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The mechanical ventilation time and ICU hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication risk of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of nutritional sequential nursing intervention to elderly patients with severe pneumonia can improve the nutritional status of patients, enhance the immunity of patients, accelerate the recovery of patients'bodies, and reduce the complications of patients.
