Comparison of the therapeutic Effects of early oral nutrition and nasal-jejunal nutrition in the Treatment of moderate to severe acute Pancreatitis
Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of early oral nutrition and nasal-jejunal nutrition on moderate to severe acute pancreatitis. Methods A total of 90 patients with moderate to severe acute pancreatitis admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Zhengzhou from May 2020 to May 2023 were divided into control group and observation group using a random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received nasal-jejunal nutrition treatment, while the observation group received early oral nutrition treatment. The start time of eating, hospitalization time, hospitalization costs, incidence of enteral nutrition related complications, abdominal infection rate, mortality rate, nutritional indicators, and infection indicators were compared between the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)between the two groups in terms of starting eating time, hospitalization time, abdominal infection rate, mortality rate, albumin and white blood cell counts before treatment for 1,7,and 14 days,as well as albumin and C-reactive protein counts after treatment for 1 and 7 days; The hospitalization cost, incidence of enteral nutrition related complications, and CRP value after 14 days of treatment of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, while albumin levels were higher than those of the control group after 14 days of treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Early oral nutrition is superior to nasal jejunal nutrition in the treatment of moderate to severe acute pancreatitis, which can reduce the incidence of complications related to enteral nutrition, improve enteral nutrition and infection indicators, reduce hospitalization costs, and improve patient quality of life.It is worth clinical reference.
