Comparative Analysis of acoustic Resin direct Filling and Polymer ceramic Inlay in the Restoration of Molar Caries and their Impact on periodontal Health
Objective To explore the comparative analysis of acoustic resin direct filling and polymer ceramic inlay in the restoration of molar caries and their impact on periodontal health. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 126 patients with molar caries admitted to the People's Hospital of Wugang City from October 2020 to October 2021.According to different restoration methods, they were divided into resin filling group and polymer ceramic inlay group. The resin filling group was directly filled with acoustic resin, with a total of 68 cases;A total of 58 cases were repaired using polymer ceramic inlay, which was the polymer ceramic inlay group. After 6 months of restoration, the success rate, restoration effect, bite force, chewing efficiency, periodontal health, and adverse reactions after treatment between the two groups were recorded and compared. Results The success rate of repair in the group of patients with polymer ceramic inlay(89.66%)was higher than that in the resin filling group(73.53%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The effective rate(A-level incidence rate)of patients in the polymer ceramic inlay group was higher than that in the resin filling group in the evaluation of restoration color, secondary caries of the abutment teeth, marginal fit,and restoration fracture, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The bite force and chewing efficiency of patients in the polymer ceramic inlay group were higher than those in the resin filled group, while the plaque index(PLI)and gingival index(GI)were lower than those in the resin filled group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in patients with polymer ceramic inlay(5.17%)was lower than that in patients with resin filling(17.65%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The repair effect of polymer ceramic inlay in molar caries is better than that of direct filling with acoustic resin, and it has a positive effect on maintaining periodontal health, reducing the occurrence of postoperative complications in patients, and has high safety.
