Clinical Effect of Phloroglucinol in the Treatment of threatened Miscarriage
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of phloroglucinol in the treatment of threatened miscarriage. Methods A total of 72 patients with threatened miscarriage admitted to Luoyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from February 2022 to February 2023 were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table, with 36 cases in each group. The control group received treatment with dexamethasone, while the observation group received additional treatment with phloroglucinol on the basis of the control group. The effective rate of treatment, success rate of fetal protection, time of symptom disappearance, serum indicators, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of treatment in the observation group(94.44%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(77.78%),and the success rate of fetal preservation(88.89%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(69.44%),the disappearance time of uterine contractions, lower abdominal pain, and vaginal bleeding were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the levels of progesterone(P),β human chorionic gonadotropin(β-HCG)and estradiol(E2)between the two groups(P>0.05);The levels of P,β-HCG and E2 in two groups after treatment were all higher than those before treatment, but there was no significant difference between two groups in the levels of P,β-HCG(P>0.05),while the E2 value in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse drug reactions in the observation group was 8.33%,while in the control group it was 2.78%,with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment of threatened miscarriage with phloroglucinol has a higher effective rate and success rate in protecting the fetus. It can not only shorten the time for symptoms such as uterine contractions, lower abdominal pain, and vaginal bleeding to disappear, but also improve E2 levels. The medication is safe and worthy of clinical application.
