The therapeutic Effect of Acupoint Thread embedding combined with Atorvastatin on Patients with simple Obesity and Hyperlipidemia
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of acupoint thread embedding combined with atorvastatin on patients with simple obesity and hyperlipidemia.Methods A total of 60 patients with simple obesity and hyperlipidemia admitted to the First Outpatient Department of Henan Province's directly affiliated institutions from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected.According to the random number table method,the patients were divided into control group(treated with atorvastatin)and combination group(treated with acupoint embedding thread on the basis of the control group),with 30 patients in each group.Both groups of patients were treated continuously for 2 months.The clinical efficacy,body weight,body mass index(BMI),waist circumference,blood lipid levels,inflammatory factor levels,and incidence of adverse reactions between two groups of patients were compared before and after treatment.Results After 2 months of treatment,the effective rate of the combination group(93.33%)was higher than that of the control group(73.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05);After 2 months of treatment,the weight,BMI,and waist circumference of the combination group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05);After 2 months of treatment,the total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),and low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C)in the combination group were lower than those in the control group,while high-density lipoprotein(HDL-C)was higher than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05);After 2 months of treatment,the levels of inflammatory factors such as interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the combination group were significantly lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05);The incidence of adverse reactions in the combination group(13.33%)was not significantly different from that in the control group(26.67%)(P＞0.05).Conclusion On the basis of simple obesity accompanied by hyperlipidemia,the use of atorvastatin combined with acupoint thread embedding has the effect of reducing patient weight,adjusting patient blood lipid levels,and reducing inflammatory reactions,and has good clinical efficacy.
