Effect of PDCA Cycle on Improving the Quality of Anesthesia Drug Management in Outpatient Pharmacies
Objective To explore the impact of the PDCA cycle management method on improving the quality of anesthesia and psychotropic drugs management in outpatient pharmacies.Methods A total of 1 000 prescriptions of anesthetic drugs from January 2021 to December 2022 at Luoyang Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected as the research subjects.The included samples were grouped according to different management methods.500 prescriptions of anesthetic drugs from January 2021 to December 2021 were set as the pre PDCA cycle management group,during which they received routine anesthetic drug management;500 prescriptions of anesthetic drugs from January 2022 to December 2022 were set as the post PDCA cycle management group.The incidence of adverse events in the management of anesthetic drugs before and after management were compared,as well as the scores on the management quality and safety assessment form.Results The incidence of adverse events in the post PDCA cycle management group(0.60%)was lower than that in the pre PDCA cycle management group(3.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The drug safety monitoring,medication rationality,prescription writing,prescription review and adjustment,and drug registration management scores of the post PDCA cycle management group were all improved compared to the pre PDCA cycle management group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The PDCA cycle management method can improve the quality of anesthesia drug management in outpatient pharmacies,reduce the incidence of adverse events in anesthesia drug management,and is worth applying.
