Analysis of the Application Value of MSCT in the differential Diagnosis of benign and malignant solitary pulmonary Nodules
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of multi-slice CT(MSCT)in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant solitary pulmonary nodules. Methods A total of 72 patients with solitary pulmonary nodules admitted to Xuchang Central Hospital affiliated with Henan University of Science and Technology from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected. All patients underwent routine CT and MSCT examinations after admission, and the pathological examination results were used as the diagnostic gold standard. The diagnostic efficacy of MSCT in solitary pulmonary nodules and the CT features of benign and malignant nodules were analyzed. Results After pathological examination,72 patients with solitary nodules were found to have 51 benign nodules(70.83%)and 21 malignant nodules(29.17%).The diagnostic accuracy and specificity of MSCT(93.06%,94.12%)were higher than those of conventional CT(79.17%,80.39%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);Calcification in malignant nodules(14.29%)was lower than that in benign nodules(39.22%),while lobulation sign, spiculation sign, and pleural depression sign in malignant nodules(85.71%,76.19%,71.43%)were higher than those in benign nodules(13.73%,15.69%,7.84%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference in vacuolar sign between benign nodules and malignant nodules(P>0.05);The ratio of peak enhanced parameters(PH)in conventional CT and MSCT,as well as the ratio of peak enhanced parameters(SPH/APH)between solitary pulmonary nodules and aortic enhancement in malignant nodules, were higher than those in benign nodules, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of MSCT in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant solitary pulmonary nodules has high accuracy, and there are significant differences in CT signs between benign and malignant nodules, providing a reasonable basis for early clinical differential diagnosis.Physicians can develop a reasonable treatment plan based on the diagnostic results.
