Application of posture change in endoscopic submucosal Dissection for the treatment of Colon Polyps
Objective To analyze the application of posture changes in endoscopic submucosal dissection for the treatment of colon polyps. Methods A total of 120 patients with colon polyps from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology from January 2020 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into control group and study group according to interval random method, with 60 patients in each group. Both groups of patients received endoscopic submucosal dissection treatment. The control group of patients underwent surgery in a conventional posture without changing their posture during the surgery;Posture changes were performed during surgery in the study group of patients. The treatment surgery time, perioperative surgical indicators, incidence of postoperative complications, and preoperative and postoperative serum inflammatory indicators between two groups were compared. Results The study group had a shorter surgical time compared to the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The study group had shorter hospitalization, postoperative exhaust, and gastrointestinal function recovery compared to the control group, and the study group had lower surgical bleeding, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);The incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group(2.33%and 13.33%respectively),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the levels of inflammatory factors between the preoperative groups(P>0.05),the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),Procalcitonin(PCT),tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α)and Interleukin-6(IL-6)in the two groups after operation were significantly higher than those before operation, and the levels of CRP,PCT,TNF-α and IL-6 in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Posture changes during endoscopic submucosal dissection of colon polyps can improve surgical quality, reduce surgical trauma and postoperative complications, and are worth applying.
