Analysis of the Therapeutic Effect of Chemical-mechanical Preservation of Vital Pulp of Primary Teeth on Deep Caries of Primary Molars Near the Pulp
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of chemical-mechanical preservation of primary molars for deep caries near the pulp. Methods A total of 86 children with deep caries near the pulp of primary molars from January 2022 to March 2023 who were admitted in Zhengzhou Stomatological Hospital were selected, and randomly divided into the study group(43 cases)and the study group(43 cases)using a random number table method. The control group received conventional preservation of primary pulp treatment, while the study group received chemical mechanical preservation of primary pulp treatment,.The success rates of pulp preservation, caries removal, clinical indicators, chewing function, levels of inflammatory factors, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results In the success rate of pulp preservation and caries removal,in comparision of the control group, the study group was higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In visual analogue scale(VAS)score,in comparision of the control group, the study group was lower, and the operating time was longer, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the chewing efficiency and bite force quotient in both groups were improved, and in comparision of the control group, the study group was higher, with a difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the two groups were decreased, and the levels of these inflammatory factors in the study group were lower than those in the control group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group after treatment was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Although chemical mechanical preservation of vital pulp of deciduous teeth takes a long operation time,it can improve the success rate of pulp preservation and caries removal, alleviate pain, improve chewing function, relieve inflammation and reduce the incidence of complications when used to treat deep caries of deciduous molars near the pulp.It has good clinical application prospects.
