Effect of transcutaneous electrical Acupoint Stimulation combined with music Therapy on Patients undergoing Surgery for benign breast Tumors
Objective To analyze the effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS)combined with music therapy on patients undergoing general anesthesia surgery for benign breast tumors. Methods A total of 160 patients with benign breast tumors from the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2020 to July 2023 were selected as the research subjects.Randomized sampling was used to group the study. The control group received comfort treatment, the TEAS group received TEAS treatment, the music therapy group received music therapy, and the combination group received a combination of music therapy and TEAS treatment, with 40 cases in each group. After treatment, the anxiety and depression, anesthesia dosage, pain, and postoperative recovery of each group of patients were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)scores among the four groups of patients 30 minutes before surgery(P>0.05).However,there were significant differences in the scores of 30 minutes after intervention,at the time of entering the operating room and after operation(P<0.05).The combined group was lower than the other three groups, and the control group was the highest, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);The difference in anesthesia dosage among the four groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),with the combination group being lower than the music therapy group,TEAS group, and control group; However, there was no statistically significant difference in visual analogue scale(VAS)scores between different time periods during extubation(P>0.05),after 6,12,and 24 hours of surgery, there were statistically significant differences between the groups(P<0.05).The combination group had lower VAS scores than the combination,TEAS,and music therapy groups, while the control group had the highest VAS score;Compared with the postoperative recovery quality assessment scale(PQRS)scores, there was no statistically significant difference before surgery(P>0.05),but there was a statistically significant difference after surgery(P<0.05).The combination group had the highest score, while the control group was lower than the other three groups. Conclusion TEAS combined with five-elements music is suitable for patients with benign breast tumors, which alleviates anxiety and depression, reduces anesthesia dosage, and relieves pain, thus facilitating postoperative recovery.
