Study on the Value of Six Respiratory Pathogen IgM Antibody Tests in Respiratory Infections
Objective To analyze the application value of six respiratory pathogen[Chlamydia pneumoniae(CPN);Mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP);Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV);Adenovirus(ADV);Influenza B virus(IBV);Parainfluenza virus(PIV)]serum immunoglobulin M(IgM)antibody tests in respiratory infections. Methods 76 patients with respiratory infections who were admitted to Yuzhou City Hospital from January 2023 to November 2023(infection group)and 76 healthy examinees who underwent health examinations during the same period(healthy group)were selected as the research objects of this study. The serum of all research objects was tested for respiratory pathogen IgM antibodies using indirect immunofluorescence, and the results of pathogen IgM tests in the two groups of research objects and the infection of pathogens in the body under different ages and seasons were analyzed. Results The positive rate of IgM antibodies to six respiratory pathogens in the infection group was higher than that in the healthy group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Among them, compared with the infection rate of different pathogens, the infection rate of MP(36.84%)was the highest.Single infections had a higher incidence than mixed infections.Among them,MP+IV infections were common in mixed infections, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).From the perspective of age stages,PIV infection is the main infection in the group under 18 years old,and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).From the perspective of seasons, the detection rates of MP and PIV are higher in summer and autumn, and the detection rate of RSV is higher in winter and spring, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference in the infection of other pathogens in different seasons is not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Among patients with respiratory infections,MP infection is the main one.In different age stages and seasons, the infection of pathogens is different. The combined detection of antibodies to six respiratory pathogens can increase the positive detection rate of respiratory pathogens. Therefore, the combined detection of IgM antibodies to six respiratory pathogens can be applied to the diagnosis of respiratory infectious diseases, quickly clarify the category of infection pathogens, and provide a reference for subsequent clinical treatment.
