Application of Early Warning Scoring Nursing in Children with Severe Pneumonia and Its Effect on Complications
Objective To explor the application effect of early warning scoring nursing in children with severe pneumonia and its impact on complications. Methods A total of 92 children with severe pneumonia who were admitted in the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu City from January 2022 to March 2023 were selected, and randomly divided into the intervention group(n=46)and the control group(n=46)using a random number table method. The control group received routine care, while the intervention group received early warning score care. The time for symptom resolution, hospitalization time, lung function, incidence of complications, and family satisfaction in both groups were compared. Results In the symptoms(fever, shortness of breath, cough, lung rales)to subside and the hospital stay,in comparision of the control group, the intervention group was shorter, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the first second forced expiratory volume(FEV1)and lung capacity(VC)in both groups were increased, and in comparision of the control group, the intervention group was higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the incidence of complications,in comparision of the control group(26.09%),the intervention group(8.70%)was lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the family satisfaction,in comparision of the control group(82.61%),intervention group(97.83%)was higher, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of early warning scoring nursing in the intervention of severe pneumonia children can shorten symptom resolution and hospitalization time, improve lung function, reduce the incidence of complications, and increase family satisfaction, which has high clinical application value.
