Clinical Efficacy of Amlodipine-Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Hypertension Complicated by Coronary Heart Disease
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of amlodipine-atorvastatin calcium tablets in the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension complicated by coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with hypertension complicated by CHD treated at The First People's Hospital of Shangqiu from July 2022 to December 2023 were selected. They were randomly divided into a study group(n=40)and a control group(n=40).The control group received treatment with amlodipine, while the study group received treatment with amlodipine-atorvastatin calcium tablets. The clinical efficacy, blood pressure levels, cardiac function, lipid levels, and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of treatment in the study group(95.00%)was higher than that in the control group(77.50%),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After treatment, both systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)in both groups decreased compared to before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The SBP and DBP in the study group were lower than those in the control group after treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, both left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD)decreased compared to before treatment, and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)increased compared to before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The LVEDD and LVESD in the study group were lower than those in the control group after treatment, and the LVEF was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, both low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and total cholesterol(TC)levels decreased compared to before treatment, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)levels increased compared to before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The LDL-C and TC levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group after treatment, and the HDL-C level was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group(5.00%)was lower than that in the control group(25.00%),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Amlodipine-atorvastatin calcium tablets used in the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension complicated by CHD can promote clinical efficacy, improve cardiac function and lipid status, reduce blood pressure levels, and have a higher safety profile.
