The Effect of Xiangju Tablets combined with Mometasone Furoate in the Treatment of Chronic Sinusitis and its Impact on Recurrence Rate
Objective Exploring the therapeutic effect of the combination of Xiangju tablets and mometasone furoate on chronic sinusitis and its impact on recurrence rate.Methods A total of 160 patients with chronic sinusitis who were treated in the hospital from December 2020 to November 2021 were selected,and divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method,with 80 cases in each group.The control group patients were given mometasone furoate,while the observation group patients were given mometasone furoate plus Xiangju tablets.After 12 weeks of treatment in both groups,clinical efficacy,subjective and objective symptom scores,objective symptom score,and quality of life score were measured.Follow up for 6 months and compare the recurrence rate between the two groups.Results After treatment,the comparison of total effective rates between the two groups showed that the observation group was higher than the control group(P＜0.05).The subjective symptoms and objective symptom scores were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).The difference in quality of life scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Comparison of recurrence rates between two groups,the observation group(11.25%)was lower than the control group(28.75%)(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of Xiangju tablets and mometasone furoate can improve the quality of life and subjective and objective symptom scores of patients with chronic sinusitis,with definite therapeutic effects and a good prognosis.
