Clinical Observation on the Effect of Orthodontic combined with Implant Dentures on Patients with dental Defects and dentognathic Deformity
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of using orthodontic combined with implant dentures in patients with dental defects and dentognathic deformity. Methods A total of 130 patients with dental defects and dentognathic deformity who received treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanyang Medical College from November 2020 to October 2021 were selected. They were randomly divided into study group(n=65)and control group(n=65)using a random number table method. The control group received treatment with implant dentures, while the study group received treatment with oral orthodontics combined with implant dentures. The clinical efficacy, periodontal tissue condition, tooth function, and postoperative aesthetic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The effective rate of treatment in the study group(98.46%)was higher than that in the control group(86.15%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);After treatment, the plaque index and soft scale index of both groups decreased, and the study group was lower than those in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);After treatment, the levels of chewing function, swallowing function, and pronunciation function in both groups improved, and the study group was higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);The alignment rate, normal occlusion rate, and complete coverage rate of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of orthodontic treatment and implantable dentures can improve clinical efficacy, periodontal tissue condition, tooth function, and postoperative aesthetics in patients with dental defects and dentognathic deformity.
