Observation on the impact of transurethral photo-selective sharp-enucleation of Prostate with green-laser Fiber on Patients with benign prostatic Hyperplasia
Objective To explore the impact of transurethral photo-selective sharp-enucleation of prostate with green-laser fiber(PSEP)on postoperative urination and prognosis in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods A total of 60 BPH patients admitted to the Department of Urology at Boai County People's Hospital in Jiaozuo City from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into study group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with transurethral resection of prostate(TURP),while the study group was treated with PSEP.The patients were followed up for 6 months. The surgical time and hospitalization time between two groups of patients were compared, and the urinary function indicators[maximum urinary flow rate(Qmax),post-voiding residual volume(PVR)],International Prostate Symptom Scale(IPSS),and Quality of Life Scale(QOL)of the two groups of patients before and 6 months after surgery were compared.the complications of the two groups of patients during hospitalization were compared. Results The surgical time and hospital stay in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 6 months after surgery, the IPSS score,PVR,and QOL score of the two groups of patients were significantly lower than those before surgery, and Qmax was significantly higher than that before surgery. In addition, the IPSS score,PVR,and QOL score of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and Qmax was higher than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion PSEP surgery for the treatment of BPH is simpler and more convenient than TURP surgery, with faster postoperative recovery and better improvement in urinary function. It has high safety and can improve the quality of life and prognosis of patients.
