Clinical Research of Aerobic Exercise Interventions in Alzheimer's Disease Patients
Objective To discuss the clinical effects of aerobic exercise interventions in Alzheimer's disease(AD)patients. Methods A total of 72 AD patients admitted to the Neurology Department of the First People's Hospital of Pingdingshan City from June 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects.According to the random number table, patients were assigned to control group(routine therapy)and aerobic group(routine therapy and aerobic exercise interventions),with 36 cases in each group. The cognitive function, daily activity ability and life quality between two groups were observed. Results Before intervention,Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)and Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)scores between groups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);after 1m and 2m of interventions,MMSE and MoCA scores in the aerobic group were higher than control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);before intervention,Barthel index(BI)between groups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);after 1m and 2m of interventions,BI in the aerobic group was higher than control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);before intervention,The World Health Organization's Quality of Life Questionnaire-Brief Version(WHOQOL-BREF)scores between groups showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);after 2m of interventions,WHOQOL-BREF scores in the aerobic group were higher than control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Aerobic exercise intervention for AD patients can further improve their cognitive function, enhance their daily activity ability, and optimize their quality of life, which is worthy of clinical application.
