The Effects of Modified Bushen Jianpi Tiaochong Decoction on Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS)and Infertility
Objective To analyze the practical efficacy of modified Bushen Jianpi Tiaochong decoction on patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)complicated with infertility,and its effects on endometrial thickness and sex hormone levels in patients.Methods A total of 78 patients with PCOS complicated with infertility admitted to Luoyang Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University from January 2019 to July 2022 were included as the study sample.Patients were divided into two groups using a random odd-even number drawing method(odd-numbered patients were assigned to the control group and even-numbered patients to the study group),with 39 patients in each group.The control group received clomiphene treatment,while the study group received modified Bushen Jianpi Tiaochong decoction in addition to the medication used in the control group.The efficacy rate and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.The endometrial thickness,luteinizing hormone(LH),testosterone(T)levels,and symptom scores were compared before and after treatment between the two groups.Results The efficacy rate in the study group(89.74%)was higher than that in the control group(71.79%),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in endometrial thickness,LH,and T levels between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,both groups showed an increase in endometrial thickness and a decrease in LH and T levels.The endometrial thickness in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the LH and T levels were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in symptom scores between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the scores for menstrual disorders,lumbago and weakness of the knees,dizziness,and tinnitus in both groups were significantly reduced compared to before treatment.The evaluation scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions during the medication period was 10.26%in the study group and 7.69%in the control group,with no statistically significant difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion Modified Bushen Jianpi Tiaochong decoction has definite efficacy in treating PCOS complicated with infertility,can increase endometrial thickness,help control sex hormone levels,and ensure safety.It is worthy of application.
