Application of Comprehensive Guided Health Education Combined with Ozone Therapy in Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective To explore the application of comprehensive guided health education combined with ozone therapy in patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods Sixty-eight patients diagnosed with lumbar disc herniation from March 2019 to March 2022 at Henan Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital were selected.Patients were randomly divided into a combined group and a conventional intervention group, with 34 cases in each group. Both groups received ozone therapy, while the conventional intervention group received basic nursing interventions and the combined group received comprehensive guided health education. The interventions were continued for 3 months.Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores were compared between the two groups before intervention,1 month after intervention, and 3 months after intervention. The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. The straight leg raising angle, lumbar flexion height, and Japanese Orthopedic Association(JOA)scores were also compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of disease awareness in both groups increased, with the combined group higher than the conventional intervention group, showing statistical significance(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05),but 1 month and 3 months after intervention, the VAS scores in the combined group were lower than those in the conventional intervention group, showing statistical significance(P<0.05).After intervention, the CD-RISC scores of both groups increased, with the combined group higher than the conventional intervention group, showing statistical significance(P<0.05);the JOA scores, straight leg raising angle, and lumbar flexion height of both groups increased after intervention, with the combined group higher than the conventional intervention group, showing statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive guided health education combined with ozone therapy can improve the lumbar function of patients with lumbar disc herniation.
