Application of WeChat Platform in Blood Donation Promotion and Its Impact on Recruitment Effect
Objective To explore the application effect of WeChat platform in voluntary blood donation publicity and its impact on recruitment.Methods 900 blood donors who donated blood voluntarily at Zhoukou City Central Blood Station from March 2021 to February 2023 were selected and divided into research group(n=450)and control group(n=450)by random number table method.The control group used conventional blood donation knowledge publicity,while the research group used WeChat platform for blood donation knowledge publicity.The voluntary blood donation cognition,recruitment effect,and the incidence of adverse reactions to blood donation in the two groups were compared.Results The score of voluntary blood donation cognition in the research group was higher than that in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);the willingness to share voluntary blood donation experiences and the rate of repeat blood donation in the research group were higher than those in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);the incidence of adverse reactions to blood donation in the research group(0.22%)was lower than that in the control group(1.78%),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of WeChat platform in voluntary blood donation publicity can improve the cognition of voluntary blood donation,improve the recruitment effect,and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions to blood donation.
