Analysis on the Rationality of Prophylactic Use of Antibiotics during the Perioperative Period of Class I Incisions
Objective To analyze the rationality of prophylactic use of antibiotics during the perioperative period of Class I incisions in Puyang Oilfield General Hospital, and to provide a reference for subsequent clinical management of antibiotics. Methods A total of 635 patients who underwent Class I incision surgery in Puyang Oilfield General Hospital from January 2023 to June 2023 were selected as the subjects of this study. The therapeutic effect of antibiotics received by patients undergoing Class I incision surgery during the perioperative period was retrospectively analyzed. Results Among the 635 patients with Class I incision surgery included in this study,214 patients used antibiotics. The prophylactic use of antibiotics during the perioperative period of Class I incision patients in each department was analyzed. The use of antibiotics in patients in the spine surgery department accounted for 66.04%,neurosurgery accounted for 64.00%,and hand, foot and trauma orthopedics accounted for 50.90%;no antibiotics were used in thyroid vascular surgery, breast surgery, hernia and abdominal wall surgery, and urology, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The types of antibiotics used during the perioperative period of Class I incisions were mainly first and second generation cephalosporins, mainly administered intravenously.A total of 7 kinds of antibiotics were used, among which cefazolin accounted for 59.35%,cefuroxime accounted for 26.17%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the rational use rate of antibiotics was 86.45%,the irrational use rate was 13.55%,mainly due to prophylactic medication without indications and over-course medication, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The prophylactic use of antibiotics during the perioperative period in patients undergoing Class I incision surgery in our hospital is mostly rational, but there are still a small part of irrational situations,so intervention should be strengthened to ensure the rational use of antibiotics, improve the rationality rate of antibiotics, and ensure the safety of patients'medication.
