Analysis of the Effect of Oxytocin Combined with Medication in Preventing Postpartum Hemorrhage Caused by Uterine Atony
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy differences of oxytocin combined with carbetocin and oxytocin combined with ergonovine in preventing postpartum hemorrhage caused by uterine atony. Methods 93 women who underwent cesarean section and had uterine atony after delivery in Shangqiu Maternal and Child Health Hospital from February 2021 to November 2023 were selected and divided into two groups.Group A(48 cases)was given oxytocin combined with ergonovine, and Group B(45 cases)was given oxytocin combined with carbetocin. The postpartum 24-hour bleeding volume, hemoglobin and coagulation indicators before and after treatment, the incidence of adverse reactions during treatment, and the recovery after delivery of the two groups were compared. Results The postpartum 24-hour bleeding volume of Group B was significantly less than that of Group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in the comparison of hemoglobin(Hb)and coagulation indicators of the women one day before delivery in the two groups(P>0.05).After preventive treatment, the Hb of the women in both groups increased, and the Hb of the women in Group B was higher, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the results of coagulation indicators of the women in both groups decreased.Among them, the prothrombin time(PT)of Group A compared with before treatment, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the differences of other indicators compared with before treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the results of all coagulation indicators in Group B were significantly lower than those in Group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).During the treatment, the incidence of adverse reactions in Group B was lower than that in Group A,the duration of uterine contraction was shorter than that in Group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),while the speed of uterine fundus descent was faster than that in Group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Oxytocin combined with carbetocin can not only effectively reduce the amount of postpartum hemorrhage after cesarean section and promote the recovery of women after delivery, but also its safety in postpartum application is more ideal.
