Dynamic Changes of Tumor Markers Before and After Blood Glucose Control in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
Objective To observe the changes of tumor markers before and after blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes, and to provide a certain reference for the diagnosis and treatment of type 2 diabetes. Methods 78 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to Pingdingshan First People's Hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 were included as research samples. All patients received routine blood glucose control treatment after admission, and the serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9),carbohydrate antigen 15-3(CA15-3),carbohydrate antigen 72-4(CA72-4),and alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)were compared before and after blood glucose control 6 months after treatment.Three months after follow-up,the incidence of rectal area, breast area, pancreatic area, and intrahepatic tumors were compared between those who met the blood glucose control standards and those who did not after blood glucose control treatment. Results After blood glucose control,CEA,CA19-9,CA15-3,CA72-4,and AFP in 78 patients were all lower than before blood glucose control, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the above examination,it was found that 50 cases met the standard of blood glucose control after treatment, and 28 cases did not.The incidence of tumors in those who met the standard(10.00%)was lower than those who did not(50.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion After blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes,CEA,CA19-9,CA15-3,CA72-4,and AFP show a change from high to low, which can provide certain information for the diagnosis and treatment of tumors in the rectal area, breast area, pancreatic area, and liver. It is recommended that patients with type 2 diabetes have regular check-ups.
