Application of Miniature Steel Plate Internal Fixation in Bartonicek Type Ⅲ Ankle Fracture
Objective To analyze the application of miniature steel plate internal fixation in Bartonicek Ⅲ ankle fracture.Methods 96 patients with ankle fractures diagnosed in Nanyang Central Hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into a research group(n=40)and a control group(n=56).The control group was treated with hollow nail internal fixation,and the research group was treated with miniature steel plate internal fixation.Three months after surgery,the surgical related indicators,healing conditions,and postoperative complications of the two groups were compared.Before surgery and three months after surgery,the ankle joint mobility and American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS)scores of the two groups were compared.Results After surgery,the blood loss,swelling time,and wound suture removal time of the research group were shorter than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Three months after surgery,the internal and external rotation angles of the ankle joint in the research group were lower than those in the control group,and the dorsiflexion and plantarflexion angles were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Three months after surgery,the AOFAS scores of the research group and the control group were higher than before surgery,and the research group was higher than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Three months after surgery,the healing rate of the research group(95.00%)was higher than that of the control group(80.36%),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Three months after surgery,the incidence of complications in the research group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The use of miniature steel plate internal fixation to treat patients with Bartonicek Type Ⅲ ankle fracture can accelerate postoperative healing and reduce complications.
