Observation on the Effect of Plasma Electrosurgical Resection in the Surgical Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
Objective To explore the clinical therapeutic effect of plasma electrosurgical resection in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)during surgery. Methods According to the random number table method,88 patients with BPH who underwent surgical treatment at the General Hospital of Zhengzhou Coal Industry(Group)Co.,Ltd.from January 2019 to October 2023 were divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 44 cases in each group. The control group received traditional electrosurgical resection, while the experimental group received plasma electrosurgical resection. The clinical efficacy,surgical-related indicators,BPH indicators, inflammatory factor indicators, postoperative adverse reactions, and sexual dysfunction were observed in both groups. Results The clinical efficacy in the experimental group(93.18%)was higher than that in the control group(77.27%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the operation time between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).The intraoperative blood loss in the experimental group was less than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS)of patients in the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, the residual urine volume(RUV)was lower than that of the control group, and the maximum urinary flow rate(Qmax)was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The levels of interleukin-8(IL-8),interleukin-6(IL-6),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative adverse reactions in the experimental group(11.36%)was lower than that in the control group(29.54%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of sexual dysfunction in the experimental group(4.54%)was lower than that in the control group(20.45%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of plasma electrosurgical resection in patients with BPH can improve clinical efficacy, achieve more thorough resection of hyperplastic tissue, effectively reduce intraoperative blood loss, improve hyperplasia symptoms, reduce inflammatory factors, and result in fewer postoperative complications.
