Efficacy Observation of Laparoscopic Total Hysterectomy in the Treatment of Adenomyosis
Objective To analyze and discuss the therapeutic effect of laparoscopic total hysterectomy in the treatment of adenomyosis(AM).Methods A total of 86 patients with AM treated at The First People's Hospital of Zhumadian from July 2021 to June 2023 were selected and divided into groups according to the different surgical methods. The study group(n=43)was treated with laparoscopic total hysterectomy, while the traditional group(n=43)underwent traditional open surgery. The surgical conditions, quality of life[World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)],sex hormone levels[luteinizing hormone(LH),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2)],and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The study group had shorter operation time, hospital stay, and anal exhaust time, and less intraoperative blood loss compared to the traditional group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in sex hormone levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the LH and FSH levels in the study group were lower than those in the traditional group, while the E2 level was higher, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in WHOQOL-BREF scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the WHOQOL-BREF scores in the study group were higher than those in the traditional group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group(4.65%)was lower than that in the traditional group(18.60%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional open surgery, laparoscopic total hysterectomy has a lower incidence of complications, can improve patients'sex hormone levels, enhance their quality of life, and shorten hospital stay, making it worthy of application.
